Patriotic popsicles, hand baked pies, summer treats, America Sourdough Loaf

“Do what you can, with what you have.” ~ Wendy Walker

Hi Reader,

Happy Thursday!

I hope you are getting ready for America’s Big 250th Birthday Party on Saturday!

I’ve got a few treats to share with you that will not only be great for the 4th of July but keep them on repeat all Summer long.

These Patriotic Popsicles are the perfect thing for little hands to cool off with. If they are running through the sprinklers or just need to get out of the pool, have them sitting in a dish or ice and they can just grab them.

Another great treat are these easy baked hand pies. They fit right into kids hands as well as adults. I like serving them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Simple BBQ Tips

First, don’t stress or try to make everything look perfect. I used to do that when my kids were little. I realized that I need to just enjoy the moment. Besides, no one else is going to know that you don’t have little cute food labeled place cards or if you forgot to make potato salad haha.

Second, keep it simple. Have others bring side dishes or desserts if you are hosting. Use disposable containers. Clean up will be so much easier. If you are setting off sparklers, have a few buckets of water so guests can stick them in there when they are done.

Make your homemade buns or bread tomorrow. I also like to make any cold dishes the night before. Keep Saturday to a minimum with maybe just a few things and decorating.

Most importantly, have fun! Enjoy good conversations with your friends and families. Put the phones down. Take the photos (use the phone haha) and make the memories.

It’s almost Cherry Season. Don’t forget to order your Organic Bing Cherries in bulk here.

Patriotic Popsicles

These are so refreshing, delicious and nutritious. Your kiddos (and adults) will love them all Summer long.

Easy Baked Hand Pies

These little hand pies are so yummy. The kids will love them fruit filling inside. You can also make them savory with a chicken pot pie filling. So good!

Just because the 4th of July is approaching, it doesn’t mean we stop celebrating our country. Keep your Patriotic Decor up all Summer long. Save yourself the time and energy of putting it away to pull out something else. I love transitioning from Summer to Fall decor at the end of August/1st part of September.

Speaking of Fall…..

I have so many things planned. Hopefully, our house projects will be complete over the next few months and I’ll be sharing those with you.
