Spring Garden Time! | All Things Tomatoes 🍅

“Do what you can, with what you have.” ~ Wendy Walker

Hi Reader,

Happy Sunday friend!

The weather is beautiful here in the south, well, except that it’s raining right now. I hope it’s warming up for you if you are in the north.

Whether you still have cold weather or not, you can still start planting seeds indoors. If you have a greenhouse, even better. This is my favorite greenhouse.

If you love tomatoes like I do, then make sure you plant a bunch of seeds. Each variety of tomato will grow differently. I planted these last September. I bought starter plants from a local organic farm, I love supporting. These tomatoes grew all through our winter. Now, the coldest we got here was 30, but still. I covered them on the cold nights. They finally started getting ripe in February and now March, I can’t pick them fast enough now haha.

Giveaway

I’ve hidden something in this week’s newsletter so if you find it, just reply back to this email. The first person to reply, I will send you a FREE copy of my “Complete Garden Planner” book plus some packs of my favorite seeds. Good Luck! 🍀

P.S. I just realized tomorrow is St. Patricks Day so what good timing haha.

Garden Fresh Caprese Salad

This is the freshest salad and will compliment most meals. Tomatoes, mozarella and basil make this the perfect side for Spring or Summer.

Authentic Italian Sunday Sauce

This is a family recipe. My favorite way to use up all those garden tomatoes.

Old-Fashioned Tomato Jam

Replace ketchup on a hamburger with this yummy Tomato Jam. I even like using it to compliment one of those fancy charcuterie boards.

Little House Simple Living “Do what you can, with what you have.” ~ Wendy Walker Hi Reader, Happy Tuesday friend! I couldn’t wait until the end of the week to tell you but…. I just became a new Grandma 🎉! I don’t even feel old enough to be one haha but my son and his wife had the most perfect little girl. They named her Scarlett Rose and I’m already obsessed with her. I spent the last few weeks preparing meals and these wonderful Lactation Cookies for Maddy. In doing so, it prompted me to...

Did you get a chance to look at all the recipes I shared during my Super Bowl Party Menu series? That was fun doing and I hope you enjoyed it too. So, it looks like Spring is coming but I also checked the weather and it’s looks like it’s cooling back down over the next few weeks. Maybe it’s a false Spring we’re having 🤷🏼♀️....
