“Do what you can, with what you have.” ~ Wendy Walker
Hi Reader,
Here’s to Friday! We made it!
I hope you have had a wonderful week. How’s your weather? Well, we were starting to cool off but now it’s hot again. Thankfully, we are in the low 80’s next week with some rain. If it’s chilly where you are then this is the perfect time to try a new recipe for soup.
When I create a recipe, I want it to be adaptable. Meaning, I like to have options for that soup. With these 5 soups, you can easily add or subtract different items and really come up with 8 different soups. For instance, how about adding heavy cream to the Tuscan Farmhouse or Homestead Chicken Noodle soup and make it a cream based soup the next time you make it. Instead of chicken, add ground beef to the Tortilla soup. Comparatively, add additional or remove certain vegetables to any of these soups.
It’s so great having options when we don’t feel like or have the time to plan a meal.

Baked Potato Soup
This soup is so creamy and with fresh and simple ingredients such as bacon, cheddar, chicken bone broth, milk, sour cream and potatoes. It’s perfect for a crowd or just to have for leftovers.
This recipe is bursting with fresh vegetables, chicken and spices. It’s the perfect soup for chilly nights or all year long. Topped with Parmesan cheese for extra creaminess.
I love these bowls (dish set) I just bought for soup. So pretty and with a vintage flair.
I’ve been learning to paint at home with this easy workbook and paint kit. The autumn one is so cute!
French Baquette
I figured I’d just share my top 5 cozy soups for Fall this week. I hope you enjoy making them and adding your own style to each one of them.
I love how versatile they all are. They can easily be made in a slow cooker, over an open fire or on the stove top.
Serve either a pan of cornbread or a French baquette with them. They are both very filling. The baquette recipe makes 2-3 loaves so if you have a big family, that will be perfect.

Grains - These two companies are my favorite for buying grains and freshly milled flour. The flour is ground on a Unifine mill, which retains all the nutrition due to the process of using stones. No glyphosate, non-gmo, organic clean wheat. If you are just diving in, this is a great place to start.
