“Do what you can, with what you have.” ~ Wendy Walker
Hi Reader,
Happy Friday Friend!
Wow, this week flew by! Tomorrow is my birthday and Sunday is my daughter’s birthday. Kelsey will be turning 28 and I’ll be 30 (not sure how I’m still that young haha). She rented one of those water slides for the back yard (still a big kid lol). We have a bunch of family coming over tomorrow for a BBQ and since it’s so hot out, that slide will come in handy.
Remember the Peach Pecan Ice Cream recipe I promised a few weeks ago? Well, you can grab the recipe below. It’s heaven in your mouth. I’m a chocolate girl but these flavors I’ve been making lately are so yummy! I do plan to make chocolate (so stay tuned 😍). Next week, I’ll be sharing an Old-Fashioned Vanilla Bean Ice Cream recipe. 😋
In other news, I have a huge collection of wooden spoons and utensils that I’ve been buying over the years. I’m just about ready to ditch the last few pieces of plastic ones in my kitchen. Learn how to clean wooden spoons so that they will last for years and years. You can also learn how to make your own wooden spoon butter (conditioner). It really moisturizes your utensils and keeps them looking brand new.

Garden Update
Fall Garden Planting is coming next month (my garden is resting right now due to all the heat here in the South). I hope you are having an abundance where you are. I enjoy this time of rest (we grow 9-10 months out of the year) but will be excited to share all the things this Fall. We are working on a project right now and can’t wait for you to see what we’re doing!

Grains - These two companies are my favorite for buying grains and freshly milled flour. The flour is ground on a Unifine mill, which retains all the nutrition due to the process of using stones. No glyphosate, non-gmo, organic clean wheat. If you are just diving in, this is a great place to start.
