“Do what you can, with what you have.” ~ Wendy Walker
Hi Reader,
Hello Friday!
It doesn’t feel like a Friday because my husband, Bill and I, celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary just a few days ago. We just got back home on Wednesday so I’m still off schedule lol. I’m excited to share with you our beach trip.
Bill and I both had parents with dysfunctional marriages. They both got divorced after their kids grew up and went out on their own. It kind of sucked. We both have decided that we weren’t going to end up like that. Marriage can be hard. Each decade seems to bring new changes in each person along with new challenges. But, the reward (if don’t give up) is beautiful. I’ve learned so much over the past 31 years - here is some Words of Wisdom from a Seasoned Wife.

If you know me personally, you know I’m just a small town girl from West Virginia. I love the mountains. But….give me a sunset on the gulf coast for a few days and my bags are packed before we book the trip haha.
Bill and I decided to go to Longboat Key here in Florida. We have two sides of the “keys” here. One is the infamous Key West (just south of Miami on the Atlantic Ocean). The side we went to was over on the gulf coast just near Sarasota. Absolutely amazing!
Every morning, we got up and went for a walk on the shore line. No one was out so it was just so peaceful. It’s not a very touristy place (which is what we wanted). The food was so good and a few of the restaurants were right on the coast. We ate fresh grouper, snapper and even authentic Italian pizza. The views were amazing along with the weather. If you are looking for a relaxing place, I highly recommend going there.
The place we stayed at we could literally open our sliding door and walk right onto the sand. Every night, we grabbed our chairs and sat down at the shore, watching the birds while the sun went down.

Grains - These two companies are my favorite for buying grains and freshly milled flour. The flour is ground on a Unifine mill, which retains all the nutrition due to the process of using stones. No glyphosate, non-gmo, organic clean wheat. If you are just diving in, this is a great place to start.
