Old-Fashioned Apple Pie 🥧 | Homemade Flaky Crust

Last minute DIY Thanksgiving Garland

“Do what you can, with what you have.” ~ Wendy Walker

Hi Reader,

Happy Weekend Friend!

I’m a little behind in sending this out to you and I have good reason. I had a whim to do a last minute craft. I was finishing up my DIY Thanksgiving Garland. It’s so simple and easy to make. If you start now, the clay will be dry by Tuesday or Thursday. It would be a cute additional piece you can add to your Thanksgiving meal. I have mine hanging in my hutch with my china. Your older kids could even finish painting it while they are watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

If you are scrambling for a last minute dessert, your guests will love this Old-Fashioned Apple Pie. It reminds me of grandma’s. It’s made with my flaky pie dough. I shared that recipe a few weeks ago but here it is again. Go ahead and make it up (the pie dough) now and stick it in the freezer. One less thing you have to do on Thursday. While you’re at it, make 2 (one for Christmas).

If you need or are looking for a 🎄Christmas tree, I can’t recommend King of Christmas enough. I am a real tree girl and I love their trees. Takes 5 minutes to put them up/take down. Free Shipping, up to 60% off right now. Such a great deal and you’ll keep this tree for years to come. 🎄

I’m loving this cozy sweater right now. It’s the perfect color of green!

Old-Fashioned Apple Pie

This pie reminds me of grandma’s. The cinnamon and nutmeg mixed with the tart and sweet apples is perfection. Did I mention it’s made with a flaky pie crust?

Keep your kids busy this week while they make this cute garland using air-dry clay, cookie cutters and paint. So fun and festive!
