How to Keep Yourself Healthy During Cold and Flu Season

Do what you can, with what you have. ~ Wendy Walker

Hi Reader,

Hi friend, Happy Saturday! How is your new year going so far? I finally figured out what day it was 😂 and my Christmas decorations are still up 🤷🏼‍♀️. I’m enjoying the twinkling lights as long as I can.

I’ve been hearing a few things about Cold & Flu Season starting and I wanted to share with you some tips I do to keep myself healthy during this time.

One of my favorite things to take year round is my Homemade Elderberry Syrup. It’s really easy to make and if you have a large family, you can double my recipe.

Another favorite thing I like is to drink Bone Broth. It’s also easy to make and will protect your immune system, digestive system and assist in absorbing your minerals and electrolytes.

One last simple tip I do (actually I do this year round) is take 1-2 tsp per day of a quality mineral salt. I use Redmond and sprinkle a pinch throughout the day in my water or I buy their electrolyte sticks. Staying hydrated especially when you are sick is very important.

Keep reading as I’m sharing all about the Immune Support and Cold & Flu Protocol.

Reader, as always, tag me over on Instagram @lhsimpleliving. I love seeing all things simple living and any recipes of mine you make.

P.S. I truly appreciate all the shares, likes, comments on my posts and over on Instagram. It keeps me going everyday to show up and share any wisdom that I may have.

So, go grab a cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa. I hope you enjoy the reading today. Many blessings sweet friend and stay healthy! I hear there is a snow storm coming up north so stay safe if you are in its path.

Wendy Walker, NTP

Health Protocols

Since obtaining my education as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I have created an account with Fullscript. I am able to write custom protocols and order labs (coming soon!) for clients. They have thousands of natural and homeopathic practitioner grade supplements to assist in rebuilding or keep you in great health.

Since I’m sharing about Cold & Flu Season, I created a special protocol for multiple symptoms. I have also created one for Immune Support. You can pick and choose which items you like. Each one has options for both children and adults. It’s important to keep our immune system strong. It primarily resides in our gut so that’s why it’s imperative to drink the bone broth daily. Along with that, eating whole grains like fresh milled flour, fruits, good fats, vegetables, grass-fed meats and raw dairy. Stay away from processed foods such as sugar, chips, soda, etc. This will just keep your immune system suppressed. If you have any questions or would like me to build a certain protocol for you, just reply back to this message. Let’s make 2025 healthy!
